What We Offer

Here at Little Mountain Gymnastics, we offer two primary types of activities: Classes and Open Gyms. Read on to figure out which option is right for you and your child!

Wondering about birthday parties? See our dedicated party page for detailed information.

Class

All of our classes are 45 minutes long and full of movement, fun, and learning! We start with a warm-up and some simple stretches, then jump right into gymnastics. Each class includes three different gymnastics events and we rotate through age-appropriate stations at each one. The events will be similar from week to week, but the stations are always changing!

Before each event, kids sit down for a quick group instruction - yes, even the babies! We know these littles might not fully understand yet, but practicing “sitting and listening” is an important part of learning.

For our youngest classes (ages 3 and under), parents are expected to be actively involved. Sit with your child during instructions, help guide them through each station, and encourage them to try everything! If your child wanders off to a different area, gently bring them back so they can follow along with the group. You’re their partner in class, and your encouragement makes a big difference in their experience and progress!

Open Gym

Open Gym is all about fun and movement! Each hour-long session starts with a quick, energetic warm-up led by a coach, and then it’s time to explore. Kids are free to climb, bounce, swing, tumble, and play at their own pace in a safe, exciting gymnastics environment.

There’s no set structure - just open-ended play on all the equipment. We will set up gymnastics stations, obstacle courses, and engaging activities designed to build strength and coordination.  Kids can bounce from activity to activity, or just bounce on the trampoline the whole time! Our staff is there to help with safety and smiles, but parents are in charge of supervising and making sure their child follows the basic gym rules.

Open Gym sessions are grouped by age to make sure the space stays safe and developmentally appropriate for everyone. It’s the perfect way to burn some energy, build confidence, and just have a blast!

Open Gym or Class

Which one is right for you?

The biggest difference? Structure.

Classes are guided by an instructor and follow a lesson plan. We introduce and build skills in a thoughtful progression, making sure kids get the basics down before moving on to more advanced moves. Parents in class are expected to help their kids follow both rules and directions, especially in younger age groups.

Open Gym, on the other hand, is all about free play! There's no lesson plan, just space to explore, climb, bounce, and have fun. An instructor is present to help with safety, but kids can play on any equipment they choose. Parents are responsible for supervising and helping to make sure their child plays safely and follows basic gym rules.

Both options are great - but they serve different purposes. If you’re looking for skill-building and structure, a class is the way to go. If you just want to burn some energy and explore the gym, open gym will be perfect!
